One For Sorrow Reviewed in Tabletop Gaming Magazine
I’m delighted to share that One For Sorrow has been reviewed in issue 117 of Tabletop Gaming Magazine!
Seeing my little solo card game featured in print is always a slightly surreal feeling, especially alongside so many brilliant tabletop games. Even better, reviewer Chris Lowry had some wonderful things to say about it:
I don’t think I’ve played a card game this innovative or moreish for quite a while.
That is an incredibly lovely thing to read, and pretty much exactly what I hoped One For Sorrow would become.
The review highlights the game’s unusual in-hand design, where all 18 cards are held and played without needing a table. It is a small, portable puzzle about arranging magpies, protecting trees and avoiding the Spectre of Sorrows.
A huge thank you to Chris and everyone at Tabletop Gaming Magazine for taking the time to play and review One For Sorrow. It means a great deal to see the game receiving such a warm response.
Thank you as well to everyone who has bought, played, shared or talked about the game. Your support has helped a tiny game about magpies travel much further than I ever expected.
