Hi, I’m Kevin Newman, a.k.a. Kev.
My journey into board game design is relatively recent, and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. I’ve worn many hats throughout my career, including those of a graphic designer, animator, and UX designer. Now, designing, illustrating, and iterating my board game ideas allows me to tap into all these skills and scratches a very satisfying creative itch.
The joy of board game design isn’t just about the creativity—it’s also about the people. The vibrant social community around board games is genuinely inspiring. I participate in the weekly Playtest UK sessions at The Ludoquist board game cafe in Croydon. We meet every Tuesday, so come along and join us! I’m also a member of various Facebook and Discord design groups. It’s great to connect with a spectrum of people who share a passion for gaming. Conventions are always a highlight, filled with new experiences and friendships.
